28th AGM of ISLP
The 28th Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Sri Lankan Photographers was ceremonially held at the OPA Auditorium at Vidya Mawatha Colombo 07 on the 27th of August 2022.
The new Council of members were appointed with Mr. Varuna Kariyakarawana re elected as the President.
A new addition to the podium was the Mace to uplift the Institute to another level.
At the Ceremonial Session, two Honorary Fellowships were bestowed upon Mr.Aruna Kiritisinghe & Mr. Franklyn Hingert.
Three members received Licentiate Awards. They were Ms.Nadeeka Ratnayake, Miss Shenali Jayasundara and Mr. I.A. Seneviratne.
The highlight of the Ceremonial session was the speech by Mr.Rukshan Jayawardena . He spoke on the Leopard and its habitat that is vanishing fast and its movement to populated areas. The Council then presented Mr.Rukshan Jayawardena with a plaque of appreciation. The Council members were handed over certificates to motivate them for their new role to steer the Institute to a higher level.
The outgoing Past President, Mr. Travis Batcho gave a speech to inspire the new Council members and the general members.
The Secretary Mr. Mithra Weerakone gave the vote of thanks and concluded the meeting with a fellowship.
